Engagement of Services

The Client engages Matt Ryan Music (hereinafter referred to as "the Musician") to perform solo music services at the event specified in the contract.

Performance Details

The performance date, time, and venue shall be as detailed in the booking process. The Musician agrees to perform for the duration agreed upon, with any breaks as specified in the booking process.

Fees and Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 20% is payable upon booking, The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event date.

Cancellation Policy

If the Client cancels the event:

- More than 60 days before the event, the deposit will be forfeited.

- Less than 60 days before the event, any amount paid will be forfeited.  If the Musician cancels, all payments made by the Client will be refunded.

Performance Conditions

The Client agrees to provide a suitable performance area with appropriate lighting, power, and shelter. The Musician requires a minimum of 30 minutes to set up and a minimum of 30 minutes to pack down. The client agrees to provide the musician with refreshments or a meal for any event over 5 hours.

Repertoire and Requests

The Musician will accommodate specific song requests made at least 8 weeks before the event. The Musician reserves the right to decline any request that is deemed unsuitable.

Liability

The Musician will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or injury arising from the performance. 

The Client is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Musician and their equipment during the event. 

Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, or government restrictions.  In the event of an emergency, equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances, the musician will refund any money given up to that point but claims no further liability. 

Agreement and Acceptance

By paying the non-refundable deposit outlined in the invoice, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
